The Chinese Flame tree is a deciduous tree, which can reach a height of 40 to 60 feet.

Small, fragrant, yellow flowers appear in early summer and are followed by clusters of large two-inch-long "Chinese lanterns". These papery husks retain their pink color after drying and are popular in dried arrangements.

The Chinese Flame tree requires full sun and water usage is moderate.
